During this webinar, we will highlight results from Scholastic’s Teacher & Principal School Report (Fall 2016), a national survey of more than 4,700 public school Pre-K–12 educators on critical issues affecting schools and districts across the country, and Learning Heroe's Parents 2017: Unleashing their Power and Potential, which highlights the results of a national survey of more than 1,400 K–8 public school parents. Scholastic's research highlights the strong, positive views held by both teachers and principals across all school poverty levels around the importance of family involvement in student learning and the need for partnerships between schools and parents.

Learning Heroes, whose mission is to help parents support their children’s educational success, commissioned their national survey in collaboration with Univision Communications and in partnership with the National PTA, National Urban League, NCLR, and UNCF (United Negro College Fund).  Their report explores parents' kitchen table anxieties, their aspirations for their children, their role in their children’s academic and developmental success, and their needs to help their children succeed.

Join us to hear what families and school staff have to say about working together and what they need to be successful.
